Heredity Reflection:
Choose example work you have done this quarter (e.g. Heredity Project) that demonstrate TWO of the following statements and then reflect (describe/explain & give examples) on how this work actually demonstrates the TWO statements that you choose.
S3B3. Understands asexual and sexual reproduction (e.g. in terms of how traits are passed to offspring- heredity, and the advantages/disadvantages of both).
S3B4. Knows where heredity information is contained and the different ways in which inherited traits of an individual are determined.
S3B5. Knows that the characteristics of an organism can be describe in terms of a combination of traits; some traits are inherited through the coding of genetic material and others result from environmental factors.
S3B3
Examples: Heredity project
Reflection:
-I know that asexual and sexual reproduction are different because one involve in one parent, and the other one involve two parents.
-Asexual reproduction
-produced by mainly budding for one-celled organisms, and regeneration for some animals.
-reproduced fast
-offspring excatly the same
-Sexual reprodcution
-Form when female sex cell are fertized by the male sex cell, mainly in animals.
-kept diversity from generation to generations.
-reproduced slow.
S3B5
Example:Heredity project
Reflection:
-Traits that are inherited through the coding of genetic material.
-The life cyle
-producing egg and sperm cells
-can be both male and female
-There bodies doesn't a brain and a central nerve system.
-The food they eat
-Traits that are from environmental factors.
-The way they caught prey
-The way how they move
